Operations

How a strategy is run, what it can trade, the leverage and exposure it takes, and how it handles drawdowns are decided and managed by the asset manager. They sit in the relationship between the asset manager and their investors, separate from the MakeBanc infrastructure.

MakeBanc is infrastructure, not an investment manager or a risk monitor. We don't set, monitor, or enforce a strategy's risk parameters or drawdown controls. The asset manager discloses how their strategy operates so investors can evaluate it, and is responsible for operating it accordingly.

What sits with the asset manager:

  • The instruments, markets, leverage, and exposure the strategy uses on Binance.
  • How the strategy manages risk and drawdowns.
  • The terms agreed directly with their investors.

What sits with the infrastructure:

One operational requirement applies on the MakeBanc side: keeping the trade-only API credentials we issue secure.

  • Operational security, protecting the API keys for your SMA: secrets management, access control, and incident response.
